We are currently recruiting for a part-time Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a school on a part time, temporary basis working through a supply agency. You will be completing a long-term contract through a supply agency working at a small, village primary school. The school fosters a strong sense of community and is committed to providing a balanced, broad and enriching curriculum that allows every pupil to flourish within school.

The successful candidate will be dedicated and committed to supporting every child within the classroom environment. You will be expected to support teaching & learning across all Key Stages; delivering learning activities to both small groups and whole classes. You'll be responsible for leading targeted interventions; contributing to planning and preparation of learning activities whilst monitoring, assessing and feeding back on pupil progress to the class teacher. You will contribute to the calm, purposeful and inclusive learning environment that the school already fosters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Confident in delivering and leading small group work/whole class activities.
  • Demonstrate consistently high expectations of pupil behaviour, learning and wellbeing.
  • Confident in managing and promoting positive behaviour strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to support learning within the school.
  • Monitor pupil progress and feedback to the teacher, in turn supporting positive outcomes.
  • Help to deliver teaching and learning in both small group/whole class.
What we're looking for:
  • Qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA), holds a minimum of a Level 4 HLTA qualification.
  • Have valuable experience working across the primary age range.
  • Feels confident teaching full class when necessary/able to plan and deliver engaging lessons if it may be required.
  • Is flexible, reliable, and willing to work in a long term role, through a trusted supply agency.
  • Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or is willing to obtain one).
  • Can provide two recent professional references.
  • Is able to commute to a school on the outskirts of Stafford.
  • Is fully registered (or willing to register) with Academics.

Pay £95 - £110 per day, depending on experience and class responsibilities. Holiday pay is included in the daily rate.
