We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Stevenage for a September 2026 start. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to become part of a supportive and well-resourced science department committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on Physics, and will play an active role in supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes while developing curiosity and confidence in the subject.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Teach chemistry, biology or physics as a specialism and contribute to the wider Science curriculum
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and the development of the Science department
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A degree in chemistry, Biology, Physics or a related scientific discipline
- Experience teaching Science at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge in chemistry, biology or physics
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to raising achievement and supporting student progress
