Academics are working on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school in the Stevenage area to recruit a dedicated and innovative Computer Science Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to join a supportive and forward-thinking school with a strong commitment to high standards, student progress, and staff development. The successful candidate will be joining a well-resourced department where Computer Science is a valued and growing subject across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

The Role

  • Planning and delivering engaging and challenging Computer Science lessons across KS3-KS5
  • Supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
  • Teaching computational thinking, programming, and digital literacy skills
  • Monitoring, assessing, and tracking student progress in line with school policies
  • Contributing to curriculum development within the department
  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom engagement

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
  • A strong subject knowledge in Computer Science/ICT
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
  • The ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
