We are currently looking to recruit a highly experienced Teaching and Learning Assistant who plays a vital role in supporting both students and the school environment on a daily basis. This role is vital when supporting our partner schools and involves supporting a vast range of children with varying needs including working alongside children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP's). Candidates who have a background in supporting children with Speech and Language, ADHD, Autism and SEMH will be particularly suited to the role.

You will be working within a variety of friendly and welcoming school atmospheres where you will quickly become a valued member of the schools. You will be working directly alongside class teachers and as a Teaching and Learning Assistant you'll be encouraged to "follow your own lead" using your own initiative and skills to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for all children.

The Role includes:

  • Having a calm, patient and proactive approach in order to support a range of pupils with varying needs.
  • Building effective relationships with a range of staff members, external professionals and most importantly the students.
  • Relating in a firm and friendly way with a wide range of personalities.
  • Using your own initiative alongside being willing to undertake direction and guidance.
  • Being motivated to work with children with special educational needs and to motivate and inspire.

What we are looking for:

  • An experienced Teaching and Learning Assistant who shares a passion and drive for supporting pupils across the primary age range.
  • Holds NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants (or above).
  • Paediatric First Aid Qualification (desirable).
  • High expectations of themselves and pupils; pushing the children to grow and flourish within the class.
  • A genuine passion and interest in supporting pupils' academic and personal development.
  • At least one year experience working with SEND children in the primary age range.

You will be working on a temporary basis through a supply agency within a long-term role. Comfortable commuting to areas in the South Staffs region such as: Stafford, Rugeley etc.

Pay: £93 - £100 a day (dependent on experience) holiday pay is included in the day rate.
