We are looking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support a lovely, rural village school on the outskirts of Stafford. You'll be joining this school on a long-term temporary basis, the school is described to be a warm and welcoming environment with a 'family feel', the school prides itself on their pupils, staff and the community environment that they foster. You'll be working through an established, trusted agency on a long-term basis initially from September 2026 to December 2026; however, there is potential for this to be extended for the full academic year.
We are looking for an individual who has a nurturing, proactive attitude and is genuinely passionate about supporting children on a day-to-day basis within the classroom. You must be organised, reliable and hardworking; committed to consistently raising standards by ensuring high expectations are promoted for all pupils. Relationship building is key within this role, not only with the pupils but also staff members in which you ensure that communication is at the heart of everything that you do.
The role includes:
- Providing support to children & staff on a daily basis across the whole school.
- Collaborating and working well alongside the class teacher.
- Supporting those children in the classroom who may require more individualised support; liaising with the teacher to create a tailored plan in which how you will support the pupil.
- Comfortable communicating with staff, parents and external professionals in a professional manner at all times.
- Providing SEND support as required for individual pupils, including those with an EHCP.
We are looking for someone who:
- Can support a whole class across a range of Key Stages.
- Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification.
- Confidently able to implement learning activities, adapt resources and provide valuable support to every child during lesson time.
- May be required to run small group interventions such as guided reading, phonics etc.
- Responsibilities may also include providing 1:1 support where needed.
- Able to foster and maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Available to start ASAP.
- Fully registered to work for Academics.
- Holds or willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Willing to commute to a Stafford school daily.
Pay £93 - £100 a day, holiday pay is included in the day rate.
