We are currently recruiting for a part-time Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a school on a part-time, temporary basis working through a supply agency. You will be completing a long-term contract at a small, village primary school. The school fosters a strong sense of community and is committed to providing a balanced, broad and enriching curriculum that allows every pupil to flourish within school.
The successful candidate will be dedicated and committed to supporting every child within the classroom environment. You will be expected to support teaching and learning across all Key Stages; contributing to planning and preparation of learning activities whilst monitoring, assessing and feeding back on pupil progress to the class teacher. You will contribute to the calm, purposeful and inclusive learning environment that the school already fosters.
- Demonstrate consistently high expectations of pupil behaviour, learning and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to support learning within the school.
- Monitor pupil progress and feedback to the teacher, in turn supporting positive outcomes.
- Help to deliver teaching and learning in both small group/whole class.
Qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) must hold a minimum of a Level 4 HLTA qualification. Candidates should feel confident teaching full class when necessary and be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons if required. Flexibility, reliability, and willingness to work in a long-term role through a trusted supply agency are essential. An enhanced DBS on the update service is required (or candidates must be willing to obtain one). Candidates should be able to commute to a school on the outskirts of Stafford and be fully registered (or willing to register) with Academics.
Pay is £95 - £110 per day, depending on experience and class responsibilities. Holiday pay is included in the daily rate.
