We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic, passionate and caring EYFS Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming school on the outskirts of Stafford supporting their Reception class. The hours in which you will be expected to work will be 32.5 hours a week. The successful candidate will have experience working within the Early Years settings and must hold full and relevant Level 3 qualifications in Early Years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting teaching and learning within a Reception class.
  • Working with individual pupils and providing small group interventions where necessary.
  • Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities and preparation.
  • Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence and progress.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment at all times.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

What We Are Looking For

  • Must have experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Holds a NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent.
  • Recent experience of working in a school.
  • Has a positive, flexible and professional approach to work.
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
  • Can provide professional references.
  • Is reliable, enthusiastic and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Can travel to the outskirts of Stafford.
