Academics are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school in St Albans for a committed and enthusiastic PSHE Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver high-quality PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education) across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students' personal development, wellbeing, and preparation for life beyond school.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging PSHE lessons in line with the school's curriculum
- Covering key topics such as relationships and sex education, mental health, financial literacy, online safety, and citizenship
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Supporting students' personal development and pastoral needs
- Working closely with pastoral leaders and wider school staff
- Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment initiatives
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Has experience teaching PSHE or related subjects (such as RE, Citizenship, Health, or Pastoral roles)
- Demonstrates strong classroom management skills
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is passionate about student wellbeing and holistic education
- Can engage and inspire students across a range of abilities
