A warm and welcoming school in Slough is on the search for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join their team starting as soon as possible.
Your role as a Specialist Teaching Assistant:
- Provide support to children facing learning difficulties.
- Engage with them and help them access their education in different ways.
- Become a pillar of support for these children and help them reach their academic milestones.
- Support the class teacher and assist with the general running of the classroom.
- Provide additional support with class outings and help supervise outdoor activities.
The children in this school have struggles with many learning difficulties, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Dyslexia, Speech Impediments, and Asperger's. Your role will mostly revolve around supporting those students that struggle with these difficulties and ensuring they can access their education in the same way as their peers.
The successful Specialist Teaching Assistant will be calm, work well under pressure, and have a positive and encouraging personality. Ideally, you will have some experience working with children and be eager to learn.
