An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to become part of a welcoming primary school in Southend-on-Sea. This permanent role offers the chance to work across Reception through to Year 6, supporting pupils at different stages of their primary education. The Role
- Deliver high-quality lessons using pre-prepared planning across Reception to Year 6
- Lead one-to-one and small group interventions to support pupil achievement
- Work alongside teachers to provide engaging and effective classroom support
- Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities
- Encourage positive behaviour and build pupils' confidence in their learning
- Monitor progress and provide valuable feedback to teaching staff

The Ideal Candidate
- Holds HLTA status or has substantial experience working in a similar role
- Has previous experience covering classes within a primary school
- Is confident leading intervention programmes that support pupil progress
- Demonstrates strong communication and organisational skills
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
- Is flexible, proactive and enjoys working across different year groups
- Is passionate about helping every child achieve their best
