Responsibilities

  • Teach pupils in KS3–KS4 within a growing Alternative Provision environment.
  • Adapt instruction to varying learning levels and needs, with a focus on SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) support.
  • Establish positive relationships with pupils and manage behaviour effectively in settings with challenging behaviours.
  • Collaborate with staff to support individual pupil progress and well-being.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in SEMH or similar special needs settings is preferred.
  • Strong behaviour and classroom management skills.
  • Empathy, resilience, and the ability to build trusting relationships with children.
