We are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Criminology and Sociology Teacher to join a thriving and high-performing secondary school in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Criminology and Sociology Teacher to teach within a successful Social Sciences department, delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will ideally have the ability to teach Key Stage 5 Criminology, alongside either Sociology or Health & Social Care. These popular post-16 courses attract highly motivated learners, offering an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Social Sciences, Sixth Form teaching and student progress.

This role would suit an experienced teacher or an ambitious ECT (Early Career Teacher) looking to develop within a supportive and collaborative school setting. The Role:

  • Teach Social Sciences across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5

  • Work collaboratively within a successful and supportive faculty

The ideal candidate:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Be passionate about Social Sciences education
  • Have strong subject knowledge in Criminology and Sociology; the ability to teach Health & Social Care is an advantage but not essential
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom practice and behaviour management
  • Be committed to raising attainment and student engagement
