Academics is working with welcoming and inclusive primary schools in Slough that are looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Inclusion Assistant. As a Behaviour Support Inclusion Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional guidance to help them regulate their emotions, build positive relationships, and engage successfully in learning. This role is ideal for graduates considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, youth work, social work, counselling, or behavioural support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
  • Promote positive behaviour and help pupils develop self-regulation strategies
  • Support children in overcoming barriers to learning and participating fully in lessons
  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Encourage pupils' confidence, resilience, and social development
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
