We are currently seeking qualified teachers and experienced tutors to provide 1:1 and small-group tuition for primary and secondary-aged learners across the London Borough of Hillingdon. This provision supports young people who are currently unable to access mainstream education, including those following EOTAS pathways, as well as pupils with SEND and/or SEMH needs. Demand for tutors is currently high, with referrals continuing to grow throughout the academic year and ahead of September.

Please note: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

What the Role Involves
  • Delivering tuition in core subjects, including English, Maths, and Science
  • Supporting both primary and secondary-aged learners
  • Sessions taking place during school hours, so daytime availability is essential
  • Working with pupils with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, and school avoidance
  • Delivering sessions within homes, schools, community settings, or online
  • Flexible opportunities available, with many referrals offering up to 5 days per week (approximately 3 hours per day)
Requirements
  • QTS / QTLS or substantial tutoring experience
  • Experience supporting learners within SEND, EOTAS, or alternative provision settings is highly desirable
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding practices
  • Ability to travel locally within the Hillingdon area
  • Ideally, candidates will hold a degree in the subject area they wish to tutor
