Are you a caring, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with SEND? We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school seeking a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to two wonderful pupils while becoming part of a supportive school community. There is also the potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.
The Role
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- September start
- Morning: Supporting a Reception-aged child within the EYFS setting
- Lunchtime: One hour of lunchtime supervision/support
- Afternoon: Supporting a Year 5 pupil with an EHCP
Both children present with autistic traits and benefit from a calm, nurturing and consistent approach. The Year 5 pupil requires primarily academic support and has no behavioural challenges.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with children with SEND, particularly autism (preferred)
- A patient, empathetic and nurturing nature
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning
