SEN Tutors Required (Alternative Provision - Ross-On-Wye, Herefordshire)

Quantum Scholars are seeking qualified teachers and experienced tutors to deliver alternative provision tuition across the county of Herefordshire. Quantum Scholars have recently been accepted onto Herefordshire Council as a provider for alternative provision, supporting pupils who are not currently accessing mainstream education. This work includes a mix of one-to-one and small-group tuition, delivered either on school sites or off-site in non-educational settings.

We’re looking to recruit primary trained and secondary trained teachers and tutors. If from a secondary background, the ability to tutor Maths, Science, English or Humanities would be an advantage. This role is ideal for teachers and tutors looking for flexible, part-time work as an alternative to mainstream classroom teaching. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Role Overview
  • Alternative provision tutoring in Ross-On-Wye and across Herefordshire
  • One-to-one and small group work with pupils

  • Pupils may present with a range of needs, including SEMH, anxiety, or school refusal

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status preferred, or strong tutoring experience
  • Enhanced DBS (Update Service desirable)
  • Ability to travel locally within Ross-On-Wye and Herefordshire
  • Access to a vehicle would be an advantage
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH or alternative provision backgrounds is advantageous
  • Strong relationship-building and adaptable teaching approach

Pay rate dependent on experience and qualifications (paid on an hourly rate).
