Academics are looking for a SEN teaching assistant to work in a vibrant and inclusive school located in Lambeth. The school has a well-structured curriculum from early years to year 6. We are looking for a passionate, patient and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant who will play a crucial role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and ensuring they have the best possible learning experience.
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: School located in Lambeth
Contract Type: Full-Time – Monday to Friday
Daily Rate: £90-£110 (Choice of Umbrella or PAYE)
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with teachers and other professionals to track student progress and contribute to the development of strategies to support learning.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
* Support the social and emotional development of students with SEN, helping them build confidence and independence.
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with various SEN, both inside and outside the classroom.
* Assist in the delivery of tailored learning plans, ensuring students\’ individual needs are met.
* Encourage and promote positive behaviour and attitudes within the school community.
Application wourld be most welcome from graduates with experience working with children with SEN and in a paid or voluntary setting or experienced teaching assistant with a degree or Level 3 childcare qualification . You will need excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
