Academics is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate 1-to-1 SEN Learning Support Practitioners to join our team on a full-time basis. Successful candidates will provide personalised support to pupils with complex needs including ASD, ADHD, and behavioural challenges, helping to facilitate their learning and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one support to pupils with complex needs during their educational activities.
- Develop and implement individualised learning plans tailored to each pupil's specific requirements.
- Promote a supportive and inclusive learning environment that builds confidence and independence.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure consistent, effective care and learning.
- Monitor pupil progress and adapt support strategies to overcome any challenges or barriers.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with children with complex needs, ideally within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of a range of special educational needs and effective support strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
- Relevant qualifications in education or special education are desirable but not essential.
