Academics are recruiting an experienced SEN Support Teaching Assistant (1:1) to work within mainstream primary schools across Rotherham on a temporary, ongoing basis. This role involves providing consistent one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs, helping them to access learning and thrive within a mainstream classroom setting.

Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing

Pay: £92.56 - £95 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)

Start Date: ASAP or a start date that suits you

About the Role

As a SEN Support Teaching Assistant in Rotherham, you will support a pupil with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH or communication challenges. This role will involve working closely with the class teacher to ensure the pupil remains engaged, supported, and included within the mainstream classroom environment. You will help create a positive and structured learning experience while promoting independence and confidence.

Key Responsibilities
