Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive PE lessons tailored to the individual needs of SEN pupils.
- Adapt sports, activities, and teaching approaches to ensure all students can participate and achieve success.
- Promote physical wellbeing, confidence, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles.
- Support students with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties.
- Create a positive, safe, and structured learning environment that encourages participation and personal growth.
- Assess and monitor student progress, celebrating achievements and adapting support where required.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, pastoral teams, and parents to support pupil development.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, sports events, and wider school enrichment opportunities where appropriate.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent PE specialist with experience teaching Physical Education across Key Stages.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs, or a strong desire to develop within an SEN setting.
- Excellent behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
- Creative, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
- Strong commitment to inclusion and pupil wellbeing.
- Passion for helping young people develop confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards physical activity.
