Are you an experienced and confident SEN HLTA looking for flexible, temporary ongoing work in Doncaster? Academics are working in partnership with a range of specialist SEN schools across Doncaster, who are seeking skilled SEN HLTAs to support pupils with additional needs on a supply basis.

About the Role

As an SEN HLTA in Doncaster, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, particularly SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) within specialist school settings. This SEN HLTA role in Doncaster will involve delivering pre-planned lessons, leading interventions, and supporting pupils with their academic and emotional development in a structured and nurturing environment. Working across Doncaster SEN schools, you will take on flexible supply roles with opportunities for longer-term placements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and provide class cover when required
  • Support pupils with SEMH and ASD in specialist settings

  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff

Candidate Requirements

  • HLTA qualification (Level 4 or equivalent)
  • Strong experience supporting SEN pupils, particularly SEMH and ASD
  • Confident leading whole-class and group learning
  • Strong behaviour management and resilience
  • Flexible and adaptable approach
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
