About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our supportive and dynamic team at a well-established Primary school in Grays. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students who have a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will play a vital role in providing tailored support, fostering a positive learning environment, and helping students to achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs, both in and outside the classroom.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Support students in overcoming barriers to learning, using positive behaviour strategies and interventions.
- Promote the emotional well-being and social development of students.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Help students build confidence, self-esteem, and resilience.
- Observe and record students\' progress and behaviours, contributing to regular reports and reviews.
