Role of SEMH Intervention Teacher: As a SEN/SEMH Teacher, you will deliver creative and engaging Maths or English lessons to small classes (up to 8 students) with SEMH needs. You will teach across subjects and provide students with the learning opportunities they need to progress well. The school emphasizes a high staff-to-student ratio and focuses on addressing the educational, social, and therapeutic needs of students, prioritizing individual happiness and wellbeing, enabling students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Many children have experienced adverse childhood experiences, face barriers in life, and are at risk of negative outcomes. You will play a key role in providing consistency, equipping children and young people with tools to feel safe, secure, empowered, and confident in their ability to succeed. You will create interactive, therapeutic, and meaningful lessons to help children reach their full potential.

Requirements for SEMH Intervention Teacher:

  • QTS/QTLS or relevant teaching experience (education and training provided)
  • Professional or personal experience working with vulnerable children, those with additional needs, challenging behaviours, or mental health issues
