Do you want to help students overcome barriers to learning and realise their full potential? We are currently recruiting for proactive, empathetic and passionate Teaching Assistants to work in a mainstream secondary school in Shirehampton - Bristol (BS11).

Details:

  • Start ASAP, ongoing to July 2025
  • Β£90 - Β£125 per day, depending on experience
  • Monday - Friday 8.30am to 4pm
  • Term time only
  • Bristol - BS11

About the Secondary Teaching Assistant role:

  • Provide extra support to students with special educational needs and those for whom English is an additional language.
  • Working under the direction of teaching staff to deliver and adapt learning activities for pupils one to one or in small groups.
  • Supervise pupils during break periods.
  • Build positive relationships with students to promote their academic success and emotional well-being.
  • Encourage students to develop self-confidence, resilience, and independence.

The right candidate:

  • Maths and English GCSE (Grade A*-C / 9-4) or equivalent.
  • Extensive prior experience within an education establishment as a learning support assistant, teaching assistant, unqualified teacher etc.
  • Possess good behaviour management skills and remain calm under pressure.
  • Be confident with ICT skills, particularly Microsoft packages.
