A specialist school in Salisbury is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience in behaviour support, SEN, SEMH or education.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Help children understand and manage their emotions and behaviour
  • Support pupils to develop positive coping strategies and social skills
  • Use consistent and positive behaviour management approaches
  • Encourage pupils to engage with their education and overcome barriers to learning
  • Work closely with teachers and the wider support team to maintain a positive learning environment

The school takes a nurturing and individualised approach to behaviour, recognising that every pupil has different needs and experiences. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play an important role in helping pupils feel understood, supported and able to engage in school life.

This position would suit graduates, youth workers, sports coaches, Teaching Assistants or anyone with experience supporting children or young people. Previous SEN or behaviour experience is beneficial but is not essential for the right candidate.
