Inspire, challenge and prepare pupils for the next stage of their education. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Primary School Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Runcorn. This is a full-time, temporary position with the potential to become a longer-term opportunity for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be an Upper Key Stage 2 specialist, committed to delivering high-quality teaching and helping pupils achieve their full potential.
About the Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons for an Upper Key Stage 2 class.
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.
- Assess, monitor and support pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
- Prepare pupils for the transition to secondary education through high-quality teaching and effective classroom practice.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to promote positive outcomes for every child.
- Uphold high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and wellbeing throughout the school day.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential).
- Experience teaching within Upper Key Stage 2.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum and effective assessment practices.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A proactive, enthusiastic and flexible approach to teaching.
