We are currently seeking motivated and adaptable Teaching Assistants to work within a variety of welcoming primary schools across Rugeley with immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity to join supportive school environments on a temporary supply basis through a well-established education agency.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils across different year groups, helping to create a positive and engaging learning experience for all children. We are looking for individuals who are patient, proactive and passionate about supporting young learners both socially and academically.
The role includes:
- Providing support to children & staff on a daily basis across the whole school.
- Collaborating and working alongside the class teacher; occasionally covering some classes when necessary.
- Supporting those children in the classroom who may require more individualised support; liaising with the teacher to create a tailored plan for how you will support the pupil.
- Comfortable communicating with staff, parents and external professionals in a professional manner at all times.
- Providing SEND support as required for individual pupils, including those with an EHCP.
We are looking for someone who:
- Can support a whole class across a range of Key Stages.
- Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or equivalent).
- Confidently able to implement learning activities, adapt resources and provide valuable support to every child during lesson time.
- Happy and confident to lead classes when needed, delivering pre-planned work.
- Monitors progress; liaising with teachers, parents, SENDCo and external agencies.
- May be required to run small group interventions such as guided reading, phonics etc.
- Responsibilities may also include providing 1:1 support where needed.
- Able to foster and maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Available to start ASAP.
- Fully registered to work for Academics.
- Holds or willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Willing to commute to Rugeley and surrounding areas daily.
Pay £93 - £100 a day, holiday pay is included in the day rate.
