Academics are recruiting an experienced SEN Support Teaching Assistant (1:1) to work within mainstream primary schools across Rotherham on a temporary, ongoing basis.
This role involves providing consistent one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs, helping them to access learning and thrive within a mainstream classroom setting.
As a SEN Support Teaching Assistant in Rotherham, you will support a pupil with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH or communication challenges. This role will involve working closely with the class teacher to ensure the pupil remains engaged, supported, and included within the mainstream classroom environment.
Working in Rotherham schools, you will help create a positive and structured learning experience while promoting independence and confidence.
- Provide 1:1 support within a mainstream classroom environment
- Adapt learning materials to suit individual pupil needs
- Support EHCP outcomes and targeted interventions
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

Proven experience supporting SEN pupils in mainstream schools is required, along with a strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH or speech and language needs.
