Academics are seeking skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) for temporary, flexible ongoing roles within welcoming primary schools across Rotherham.

Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing positions
Pay: £115 - £145 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella fees)
Start Date: ASAP or a date that works for you
Working as an HLTA in Rotherham, you may deliver pre-planned lessons during teacher PPA time, lead small group work, or support targeted pupils to raise attainment. You will support teachers, SENCOs, and leadership teams in creating an inclusive learning environment where pupils can thrive both academically and socially.
- Deliver planned lessons and learning activities during PPA cover
- Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Deliver small group and 1:1 intervention
- Support curriculum planning and assessment where required
- Promote independence, progress, and positive behaviour
- Liaise with SEN and pastoral teams to support pupil needs
- Contribute to a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and professional conduct
Level 4 HLTA qualification with relevant experience
Strong HLTA-level experience and Degree educated (essential)
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
