Tutors Required (Alternative Provision - Hillingdon)
Quantum Scholars are seeking qualified teachers and experienced Primary tutors to deliver alternative provision tuition across the London Borough of Hillingdon. PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AS A TEACHER OR TUTOR IN THE UK.
Quantum Scholars have recently been accepted onto Hillingdon Council as a provider for alternative provision, supporting pupils who are not currently accessing mainstream education. This work includes a mix of one-to-one and small-group tuition, delivered either on school sites or off-site in non-educational settings.
We're looking to recruit primary trained and secondary trained teachers. If from a secondary background, the ability to tutor Maths, Science, English or Humanities would be an advantage. This role is ideal for educators looking for flexible, part-time work as an alternative to mainstream classroom teaching, while continuing to be paid at equivalent classroom teacher rates. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Role Overview- Alternative provision tutoring across Hillingdon
- One-to-one and small group work with pupils
- Delivery may take place on school sites or off-site in community or non-educational settings
- Pupils may present with a range of needs, including SEMH, anxiety, or school refusal
- Part-time, flexible hours depending on pupil and placement needs
- Qualified Teacher Status preferred, or strong tutoring experience
- Enhanced DBS (Update Service desirable)
- Ability to travel locally within Hillingdon
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH or alternative provision backgrounds is advantageous
- Strong relationship-building and adaptable teaching approach
Paid on hourly rate. Rate dependent on experience and qualifications.
