About the Role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant in Rotherham, you will support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging activities, provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils in class, in small groups, or on a 1:1 basis
- Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation

- Provide emotional and academic support where required
- Work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff
- Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies at all times
Candidate Requirements
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
- Experience supporting children in a school or childcare setting
- Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
