Quantum Scholars is currently seeking experienced Primary SEND tutors to provide 1:1 tuition in home and off-site settings for pupils accessing alternative provision across Wokingham and the surrounding areas of Berkshire. This role focuses on supporting primary-aged pupils who are not currently in mainstream education. Many of the children we work with have additional needs, including SEND, Autism, ADHD, SEMH, behavioural challenges, or medical conditions. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with individual learners, delivering personalised sessions that build confidence, develop core skills, and support their journey back into education.
Tuition typically takes place in the pupil's home or in a suitable community setting, with tutors responsible for planning and adapting lessons to meet each child's needs.
Role Overview- Deliver 1:1 tuition to primary-aged pupils outside of mainstream settings
- Flexible, part-time opportunities to suit your availability
- Sessions take place during school hours, so daytime availability is essential
- Roles available across Wokingham and nearby areas in Berkshire
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desirable
- Experience supporting primary pupils with SEND (e.g. Autism, SEMH, ADHD)
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, supportive relationships
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience delivering core primary subjects such as English and Maths
- Ability to travel to Wokingham and surrounding areas for in-person sessions
