Teaching Assistant (SEN β Challenging Behaviour) β Immediate Start
Location: Worksop, South Yorkshire
Role: Primary SEN Teaching Assistant (Term-Time, Temporary, at least 6 week assignment)
Schedule: Monday β Friday, 8:30am β 3:30pm
Rate: Β£95 β Β£120 per day (inclusive of holiday pay)

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in South Yorkshire.
Your focus will be on de-escalation, building trust, and implementing structured strategies to support positive engagement and learning.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils with challenging behaviour through de-escalation techniques and structured strategies.
- Build trust and positive relationships to encourage engagement and learning.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to implement SEN strategies and progress monitoring.
- Contribute to safeguarding and inclusive education practices.

Qualifications
- A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Proven experience supporting children with SEN, particularly challenging behaviour, in a school or similar setting
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies, de-escalation techniques, and support for ASD/SEMH
- A calm, consistent and resilient approach, with the ability to build trust and encourage positive behaviour
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply quickly)
