A fantastic Specialist Primary School in Trowbridge are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately on a full-time basis. In this role, you will work closely with a small class of SEN pupils aged 5 to 11, who may have autism, ADHD, down syndrome, learning difficulties, communication challenges or physical disabilities.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will provide both one-to-one and group support under the guidance of the class teacher. Your responsibilities will include tracking the progress made by each child, assisting them in achieving new milestones, and supporting their behaviour management. Additionally, you will help nurture their life skills, offer social and emotional support, and create a stimulating and safe learning environment.

While prior experience working with individuals (children or adults) with additional needs is beneficial, what matters most is your compassionate, understanding nature and your readiness to take on a new challenge. The school are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant with a kind nature and passion for additional needs.

The Primary SEN School have excellent resources on site, including sensory and therapy-based rooms, as well as parking and easy access to local transport.
