Academics are working with a fantastic primary school in S. Ockendon, Thurrock who are seeking a Primary school HLTA to join them from September on a long-term contract.
The role of a Primary school HLTA is to complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may include planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short term for whole classes and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils achievement, progress and development.
Someone with a HLTA qualification is desirable but not essential.
The ideal candidate should have over 3 months experience in a similar role where they covered and taught whole classes, covering teacher\’s PPA time and should have good knowledge of the national curriculum.
