As a Primary Mental Health and Learning Support Assistant, you will support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, autism, and other additional learning needs. The Role

  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils who may struggle with emotional regulation, anxiety, or engagement in the classroom
  • Deliver small-group interventions focused on social skills, confidence, resilience, and wellbeing

  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, support staff, and external agencies
