Are you a Psychology graduate eager to gain practical experience supporting young people with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)? A Secondary SEN School in Abingdon is seeking a dedicated and caring PMLD Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, or Teachers who want to build valuable, hands-on experience working with students with a range of complex special educational needs.

As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual students' needs.
  • Support students with communication, sensory development, emotional wellbeing, independence, and engagement in learning.
  • Assist students with accessing learning activities and developing their confidence and participation.
  • Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to create a safe, structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

We're looking for a PMLD Teaching Assistant who is:
