We are currently seeking dedicated, passionate and experienced Teaching Assistants to support a variety of schools within Penkridge and Stafford. The roles are open to day‑to‑day supply, short‑term and longer‑term supply positions. You will be working through a trusted, established agency on a temporary basis.
The successful candidates will be open to exploring a range of primary schools supporting with either day‑to‑day, short‑term or long‑term roles, across a variety of key stages depending on your preferences, supporting teachers in creating an education rich, motivating and nurturing classroom environment.
Duties as a Teaching Assistant will vary on a day‑to‑day basis; you will be expected to support the class teacher across the board. Duties may include:
- The delivery of lessons, tailoring learning to suit child needs and providing small‑group interventions when necessary, such as guided reading, phonics and maths.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working for a reputable education agency – Academics.
- Working collaboratively alongside staff, parents and children to ensure a smooth, pleasant learning experience.
- Covering short‑term, long‑term and day‑to‑day roles across a variety of Key Stages within the areas of Penkridge and Stafford.
- Supporting the class teacher with the day‑to‑day running of the classroom; assisting with learning, interventions and activities.
- Providing both individual and group support, including interventions as necessary.
- Confidence in supporting pupils with SEN needs – this may involve one‑to‑one support where required.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting a primary class.
- Obtains a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate (minimum).
- Is a committed Teaching Assistant who feels confident in supporting children; tailoring learning to ensure each child flourishes.
- Has the ability to support SEN pupils when requested within the classroom, including 1:1 or small group work.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS (or is willing to obtain one).
- Is available to start ASAP.
- Can commute to Penkridge and surrounding areas on a daily basis.
- Is fully registered to work with Academics.
Pay: £93 - £100 per day, depending on experience and assignment. Holiday pay is included in the daily rate.
