Academics are working with a school in central Huddersfield who require a SENDCO from September 2026 to replace an outgoing member of staff who is going on maternity leave. The role is 0.6 SENDCO and 0.4 teaching responsibility. For the right candidate, the school would be happy to split the roles so if you are looking for part-time work don't be put off from applying.

A desire and a passion to improve the school life of SEND children is paramount. Given the nature of the role, you must already hold the SENDCO qualification as the school will not have time to train whilst in post. The school itself is a supportive environment with a highly experienced senior leadership team already established.

You will also be taking over from an outstanding SENDCO, so a lot of the structural work is already in place; your job will be to maintain the high standards and continue the implementation of the EHCPs as well as applying for new ones.

I would encourage you to talk to us if you are interested; we can arrange visits with the school and discussions direct with the principal. Please don't hesitate, I expect this role to prove incredibly popular.
