Academics are seeking a Nurture Teacher in Bedford to lead the delivery of our KS2/3 Nurture provision in the education and training sector. This role involves planning and delivering a targeted curriculum for some of our most vulnerable pupils, who are not yet ready to engage with the secondary curriculum. We are looking for teachers with experience working with pupils who face challenges such as anxiety, emotionally-based school avoidance, ADHD, and/or ASD. Qualified Teacher Status is preferred, though we will consider applications from candidates without QTS who have substantial experience and a proven impact in a school or nursery setting.

Academics are working as an agency on behalf of a fantastic independent SEMH special school in Bedford catering to up to 50 children aged 8-18. They educate day pupils and, through their unique Turning the Curve provision, provide support to young people who have been disengaged from education for extended periods.

This Bedford school is hoping to gain a similar minded Nurture Teacher to achieve their mission to create a nurturing, accepting environment for students who have not had their needs met in other settings, as well as to offer our staff a supportive work/life balance that is often unavailable in larger schools.
