Nursery Nurse - Doncaster

Are you a caring, enthusiastic, and qualified Nursery Nurse looking for flexible, ongoing work in early years settings across Doncaster?

Academics are recruiting dedicated Nursery Nurses with a Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification (CACHE Diploma, BTEC, NVQ, or Early Years Education apprenticeship) and Paediatric First Aid training to support welcoming and supportive nurseries across Doncaster. These roles are on a temporary, ongoing basis, with potential long-term and permanent opportunities for the right candidates.

About the Role

As a Nursery Nurse in Doncaster, you will play a key role in supporting children aged 0-5 within early years settings. You will help to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

You will support daily routines, deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework, and ensure the wellbeing and safety of all children in your care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children aged 0-5 with learning and development * Assist with planning and delivering EYFS-based activities * Promote communication, independence, and social development * Supervise play, meal, and outdoor learning times * Provide personal care where required * Use Paediatric First Aid knowledge when necessary * Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment * Work collaboratively with nursery staff and room leaders

Candidate Requirements

  • Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification (CACHE, BTEC, NVQ, or equivalent) - Level 3 preferred * Paediatric First Aid certificate (required for newer qualifications) * Understanding of EYFS and safeguarding procedures * Caring, patient, and proactive approach * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
