Qualified Nursery Assistant Location: Eastbourne, East Sussex Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Academics is recruiting a qualified Nursery Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Eastbourne from September 2026. This role is based within the school's on-site nursery provision, supporting children aged 2-3 years old at a key stage in their early development. You will work as part of a dedicated Early Years team to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can grow in confidence and develop essential early skills. Key Responsibilities: Support the learning, care, and development of children aged 2-3 years. Assist in delivering engaging EYFS-based activities tailored to individual needs. Promote communication, social, emotional, and physical development. Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive nursery environment. Support personal care routines where required. Observe, record, and contribute to children's learning journeys. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification. Experience working with nursery or early years-aged children. Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
