Nursery Area Manager – Chelmsford, Essex

** Hybrid Role (Covering Essex and Hertfordshire; Central Office in Chelmsford; Home Working)

** £45,000-£50,000 per annum

** Permanent contract

About the Role
As an Area Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting nursery management teams to deliver outstanding care and education while fostering an exceptional workplace for their team. Your expertise in early years and in-depth knowledge of Hertfordshire and local authority procedures will be key.

Nursery Operations:

  • Regularly visiting nursery settings to ensure compliance with statutory and local authority requirements.
  • Supporting nursery managers in operations, safeguarding, and team matters.
  • Monitoring KPIs, including occupancy and management accounts, to achieve targets.
  • Driving continuous improvement through reflective practice and policy adherence.

Team Development:

  • Coaching and mentoring nursery managers to enhance skills and resolve challenges.
  • Leading on performance management, training, and recruitment of management team members.
  • Fostering a positive, connected team culture aligned with our values.

Operational Leadership:

  • Leading management team meetings and collaborating with operational leads.
  • Contributing to the Nursery Operations strategy and driving business success.
  • Anticipating challenges and resolving issues collaboratively.
