About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant in an SEMH setting, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils aged 5-16 with social, emotional, and mental health needs, often alongside additional learning difficulties. You'll work closely with experienced staff, gaining hands-on training while helping pupils build trust, regulate emotions, and engage in learning. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement
  • Assisting with learning, development, and wellbeing
  • Supporting students with personal care needs where required, in a respectful and dignified manner
