Quantum Scholars are looking for experienced and committed Alternative Provision Tutors to work with secondary‑aged students in Norwich. This role will involve working in a school setting, providing 1:1 tuition to students who require additional support outside of their usual classroom learning. Students may need help with academic progress, confidence, engagement, or preparation for exams.

Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 tuition to secondary‑aged students
  • Planning and delivering engaging, personalised sessions
  • Supporting students with Maths, English and/or other subject areas
  • Helping learners build confidence, motivation and positive learning habits
  • Working closely with school staff and Quantum Scholars to support each student's progress
  • Adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs

Qualifications

  • Have experience teaching, tutoring or supporting secondary‑aged students
  • Can deliver strong subject knowledge, particularly in Maths and/or English
  • Are patient, reliable and able to build positive relationships with young people
  • Have experience working with students who may have barriers to learning
  • Can provide engaging, structured and supportive tuition
  • Hold QTS, tutoring experience, or relevant education/support experience
  • Experience in Alternative Provision, SEND, SEMH support, behaviour support, mentoring, or re‑engagement work would be highly desirable
