Office Manager - Primary School Gravesend
Location: Gravesend, Kent
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time
Academics Ltd is working with a welcoming and well-established primary school in Gravesend to recruit an experienced Office Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and highly organised administrator to take responsibility for the smooth running of the school office and support the wider leadership team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the school's administrative systems operate efficiently, while providing a professional and friendly service to staff, pupils, parents, governors and visitors.
The Role
As the Office Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the daily running and organisation of the school office.
- Coordinating and supporting administrative staff.
- Managing pupil admissions, attendance and school records.
- Acting as a key point of contact for parents, staff, governors and external agencies.
- Supporting financial administration, including invoices, purchase orders and budget-related tasks.
- Ensuring administrative processes meet school policies, safeguarding requirements and GDPR standards.
- Organising meetings, school events and key administrative activities.
- Maintaining accurate records and using school management systems to produce reports and manage data.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience as an Office Manager, School Administrator, Senior Administrator or similar.
- Experience working within a school or education environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Experience with systems such as SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom would be advantageous.
- Confident communication skills and a professional approach.
- The ability to remain calm and organised while managing competing priorities.
- An understanding of safeguarding, GDPR and school administrative procedures.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
