Academics are currently supporting a primary school (located in Newcastle-under-Lyme) that is looking for an experienced Year 5 Teacher. The role is covering a staff absence from Tuesday 5 May 2026 - Friday 17 July 2026. Our partnership school is known for its strong family ethos, pledging that all learners and staff feel appreciated and valued. To be considered for this particular teaching role you MUST:

  • Have UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) and excellent knowledge of the upper KS2 curriculum.
  • Be able to hold full class responsibilities and to be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Have strong behaviour management skills.
  • Promote happiness, self-reliance and to be able to encourage and motivate positive interactions.
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service, or you will be prepared to apply for a new DBS with ourselves (cost applied).
