Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking to build your experience supporting children with additional needs? Do you have a background working with young people and a passion for helping every child reach their potential? A welcoming Specialist School in Newbury is looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will support pupils with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties. This is an excellent opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant seeking hands-on experience within a highly supportive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role will involve:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting with classroom activities and differentiated learning tasks
  • Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
  • Helping pupils develop social, emotional, and communication skills
  • Working alongside teachers and other support staff
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will be patient, proactive, and committed to supporting children with diverse learning needs. Previous experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals would be advantageous.
