Are you an experienced Maths Tutor looking for a rewarding opportunity in Aylesbury? We are seeking a passionate Maths Tutor to join a Supported Internship Programme, supporting young people aged 18-25 with additional needs as they develop the skills, confidence, and qualifications needed for adulthood and employment.
As a Maths Tutor, you will deliver a bespoke Maths curriculum from Entry Level 2 to Level 2, supporting learners working towards both accredited and non-accredited qualifications. You will also deliver practical Maths and financial literacy sessions, helping learners develop essential life skills such as budgeting, money management, and financial independence.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Maths Tutor who is passionate about supporting young adults with SEND and helping them achieve positive outcomes in education, employment, and independent living.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging Maths sessions tailored to individual learner needs.
- Support learners studying accredited and non-accredited Maths programmes from Entry Level 2 to Level 2.
- Teach practical Maths, financial literacy, budgeting, and money management.
- Monitor learner progress and adapt sessions to maximise engagement and achievement.
- Develop learning resources and contribute to schemes of work where appropriate.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Experience delivering Maths tuition or teaching Maths to young people or adults.
- Experience supporting learners with SEND, SEMH, or within an inclusive education setting is highly desirable.
- Strong ability to differentiate learning and engage learners with a range of additional needs.
- Experience delivering Entry Level and Functional Skills Maths is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Pearson and/or Ascentis qualifications is beneficial.
- Knowledge of RARPA is desirable but not essential.
- Patient, adaptable, and passionate about helping learners succeed.
- Must be available every Wednesday and Thursday.
