Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality and engaging Maths lessons that promote excellent progress, attainment, and outcomes for all learners.
- Plan and adapt learning to meet a diverse range of educational, behavioural, sensory, and communication needs.
- Support students in developing confidence, independence, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports both academic and emotional development.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, pastoral teams, parents/carers, and external professionals to ensure pupils receive a holistic and consistent approach to support.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching Maths to secondary-aged students, ideally within SEN, mainstream, or alternative provision settings.
- Experience delivering recognised Maths qualifications and accreditations.
- A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and current developments within Maths education.
- The ability to differentiate effectively and adapt teaching approaches to support a wide range of learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive and professional relationships across the school community.
- A patient, flexible, and nurturing approach, alongside strong behaviour management skills.
